More than 45 years ago, NASA was interested in developing a solar simulator to simulate sunlight outside the filtering of the atmosphere. A group of engineers set up a laboratory in Fairfield, NJ, and designed a product that generated 25 million candlepower of light. The technology developed during this research was used to design and develop a hand-held unit. This unit, which could produce one million candlepower of light, was sold to the military and law enforcement market sectors.

Then, in 1973, a private investor from the Philadelphia area moved the company to King of Prussia, PA, creating what is now known as Streamlight, Inc. Today, Streamlight designs, manufactures and markets a variety of precision-engineered flashlights and lanterns for professional fire fighting, law enforcement, military, industrial, outdoor and automotive applications. We offer the highest level of flashlight technology and quality for the application, at the best value.

Streamlight is headquartered in Eagleville, PA. Our products are sold throughout the U.S. and in over 40 countries around the world
